My Amazing Tour of Italy - Part 1
This summer I travel to Italy with my travel friend and now business partner LaRae. I met LaRae while i was traveling to Greece in 2017. This is why I definitely recommend group travel you never know who you might met. I mentioned to her that the next place on my bucket list was Italy and she made it happen!

Venice
Our trip started in Venice, I flew direct from JFK. When we arrived in Venice, we were met by a greeter who showed us to our water taxi. The water taxi took us to the mooring directly in front of our hotel.![]() |

We enjoyed our first night by walking around St. Mark's Square and enjoying the view from our hotel's rooftop deck.
The next morning we took a boat ride to the Island of Murano, known for Murano glassware. We visited a factory to observe the art of glass blowing. I was amazed at watching them shape and mold the glass into different vases and statues. This was a great place to get murano glass and jewelry.
We spent the rest of the day on a walking tour around St Marks Square to visit Dodge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. After we finished our walking tour we ended our night with a gondola ride. Seeing this beautiful city built on water and how the boats move around the canals is a must!
Lioness's Tip: When traveling to Venice ask around for gondola ride prices. We found a reasonable ride outside the Hard Rock Cafe.
